"He Made Us Free!"
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2)
Law, governance, boundaries, rules...it seems they cannot be escaped.
Yes, law governs everything around us. Every single area of our lives is governed. From our workplaces to our homes, law/rules are everywhere. Nature even has laws. Because of nature's law of gravity, if a person jumps off a building the only place to go is down. There are also laws of the land, here in the U.S. we have state laws. The state is responsible for enforcing these laws but if the Supreme Court has a different interpretation of that law, it can overturn it. The Supreme Court overrules the states. In that same way, Jesus being the supreme ruler has overruled the law of sin and death.
Becoming sin for us Jesus was crucified and buried. (Galatians 3:13) Yet He was raised from the dead taking and subduing the powers of darkness. (1 Corinthians 15:4, Colossians 2:13) Therefore when we receive Jesus as our savior everything He has becomes available to us. We are free from the law that governed the way we lived! While we were once bound to sin unable to be free from self destructive behavior, it is now important to identify that He has already defeated sin and death, and to allow His government to rule and reign in our lives. Then His truth shall make you free! (John 8:32)
Therefore, as you go about your day today declare this: For I am free from the law of sin and death! My life is governed by Jesus. Everything He has done and conquered is available for me!
What You Got To Say" is a single that speaks about the power of confession. You have a choice to complain in doubt or speak and command whatever you are facing in life. Are you going let circumstances shout and paralyze you? Or you going speak up and take authority? Proverbs 18:21
